They kept the elements of the first game that I liked most and even sprinkled some Beat Saber style mini games in there along with other surprises too. They couldn’t just make the same game modes again, so they did what was needed and they got clever – and it works. We already have the first Fruit Ninja VR for that traditional “Fruit Ninja” type of play, so big changes are needed to make an entire second game fell like a new game. At first I was confused by the big changes, but after playing a bit, I get it now. The sword modes also change it up in a pretty fun way. Bows & ArrowsĪrchery feels like you are playing a Zelda mini game where link goes to the shooting gallery with his bow, except with fruit. The archery mode is fantastic and it is one of the better archery vr games I have played. Part two is very different, so prepare for that, but it is also very well done and – in my opinion – a lot of fun. I really liked how the first game was setup, you just click on the mode you want and then you are playing it. I am a HUGE fan of the first Fruit Ninja VR. We haven’t heard anything about a Quest release date as such though, so we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled in the meantime. The original Fruit Ninja VR launched on the Quest platform back in 2019, so it’s clear the studio is no stranger to slimming down the game to fit the standalone headset.
